Brooklyn based photographer Elena Mudd explores the relationship between individual and social identity from a feminist (or humanistic) perspective. The intimate portrait, conceived as collaborative process with her subject, is her specialty. Her subjects range from family members to strangers she meets on the street. She works with film media, both 35mm and medium format, and with digital.
Her work has been published in print for A Women's Thing, online for Mythos Mag, Sticks & Stones Mothership, Air Mag, and B-Authentique. Clients include Garance Doré, Cup of Jo, Made by Voz, Thomas Sires, amongst others.
Her work has been exhibited as part of FXFOWLE x A Women's Thing All Women show at FXFOWLE in New York City and the group show Eyes That Can See at the New City Galerie in Burlington, Vermont.
